Special Educational Needs 
Understanding SEND to Improve Provision

To enhance the development of knowledge, skills and confidence of those supporting individuals with Learning Disabilities and Special Educational Needs. These workshops are for those who want to develop their understanding of the communication needs of Autistic individuals, those who are Neurodivergent, those who have Severe Learning Disabilities, Multi-Sensory Needs, Down Syndrome, Complex Needs and Profound & Multiple Learning Disabilities. 

Who are these courses aimed at?

These workshops will give participants knowledge and confidence in supporting those with additional learning needs, those who are autistic or those who have Special Educational Needs. Course members will explore the particular requirements of individuals with a range of SEN/LD and gain an understanding of a variety of augmentative communication aids and strategies that can be used to support those individuals. 
* Mainstream Schools
* NHS staff (GPs, practice nurses etc.)
* Police, Paramedics, Firefighters
* Employment agencies
* Staff new to SEN/LD organisations

Timings and workshop costs

Workshops tend to be 3 hours or a full day. We can host or deliver 'in-house'. We do, of course, offer bespoke packages and can design a workshop and training days around your organisations particular needs.
