Relationships & Sex Education 

Relationships and Sex Education training for those who care for or work with children and young people.
Course Aim: To improve the knowledge, skills and confidence of participants in communicating with, supporting and educating children and young people with or without a learning disability about keeping safe, relationships, growing and changing, self advocacy, consent and sexual health - in a positive, inclusive, safe and pro-active manner.

Team-Teach 
Training  

Award winning Team-Teach training encourages the promotion of de-escalation strategies and the reduction of risk and restraint, to support teaching, learning and caring. 
This is achieved by increasing staff confidence and competence in responding to behaviours that challenge, whilst promoting and protecting positive relationships. 
Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) approaches are entirely compatible with Team-Teach.

& Mental Health 

To support those working with individuals who can present behaviours that challenge. 3 to 6 hour workshops.Participants will learn about:

Functions of Behaviour.
Emotional & Social Development.

Support

The Thrive Approach draws on insights from the fields of neuroscience, attachment theory and child development to provide a way of working with children and young people that supports social and emotional development. In particular, the Approach equips you to work in a targeted way with those who have struggled with difficult life events to help them re-engage with life and learning. INSIGHT training & support offers Thrive support to families and schools.

Special Educational Needs Workshops

To encourage the development of knowledge, skills and confidence of those supporting individuals with Learning Disabilities and Special Educational Needs. 
These workshops are for those who want to develop their understanding of the communication and environmental needs of those with Autism, Intellectual Differences, Severe Learning Disabilities, Complex Needs and Profound & Multiple Learning Disabilities. 
Course members will explore a range of augmentative communication strategies.

Training

We offer Ofqual and OCN awards in Principles of Safeguarding and Protecting Children, Young People or Vulnerable Adults
On successful completion, delegates will receive either level 1, 2 or level 3 Ofqual certification.

These courses are designed for parents and carers of individuals with Learning Disabilities, Intellectual Differences and Special Educational Needs.
